Volleyball Assist User Guide: Tournament Builder

Step 1: Tournament Information

In this step, you will enter the basic information about your tournament. This information is essential for identifying the tournament and creating the schedule.

Fields to Fill Out:

1. Tournament Name

   • Description: Enter the name of your tournament.
   • Required: Yes.

2. List Tournament

   • Description: Check this box if you want the tournament to be listed in the public tournament search.
   • Required: No.

3. Sets per Match

   • Description: Enter the default number of sets to be played in each match.
   • Required: Yes.

4. Sets Played To

   • Description: Enter the default number of points required to win a set.
   • Required: Yes.

5. Tiebreaker Played To

   • Description: Enter the number of points required to win a tiebreaker set.
   • Required: Yes.

6. Tournament Type

   • Description: Select the type of tournament you are organizing. Options include:
     • Round Robin
     • Pool Play
     • Bracket
     • Double Elimination
   • Required: Yes.

7. Enable Advance to Bracket

   • Description: If you selected “Pool Play” as your tournament type, you can enable this option to allow the tournament to transition into a bracket format after the pool play stage.
   • Required: No.
   • Note: This option is only available if “Pool Play” is selected as the tournament type.

Additional Notes:

• Ensure all required fields are filled out before proceeding to the next step.
• The “Enable Advance to Bracket” option is disabled unless “Pool Play” is selected as the tournament type.
