Step 5: Finalize

In this step, you will review and finalize the tournament schedule. You can make adjustments to individual matches, delete matches, or rebuild the entire schedule if needed.

Overview

  • Tournament Name: Displays the name of the tournament.
  • Tournament Type: Shows the type of tournament (e.g., Round Robin, Pool Play, Elimination).
  • Teams: Lists the total number of teams participating.
  • Locations: Displays the number of courts and their addresses.
  • Matches: Shows the total number of matches scheduled.
  • Tournament Duration: Indicates the start and end times of the tournament.

Reviewing Matches

  1. Match List

    • Matches are grouped by day. Click on a day to expand and view the matches scheduled for that day.
    • Each match displays:
      • Teams playing.
      • Court and location.
      • Start time.
      • Any scheduling conflicts (highlighted in red).

  2. Editing a Match

    • Click on a match to open the edit modal.
    • You can update:
      • Team 1 and Team 2: Assign or change teams.
      • Location: Change the court or address.
      • Date and Time: Adjust the match start time.
    • Delete Match: Use the delete button to remove a match (only available for non-elimination tournaments).

  3. Scheduling Conflicts

    • If a match overlaps with another match on the same court, a conflict warning will appear.
    • Resolve conflicts by adjusting the match time or location.

Rebuilding the Tournament

  • If significant changes are needed, you can rebuild the entire tournament schedule.
  • Note: Rebuilding will overwrite all existing matches and reset any played sets or matches.

Finalizing the Tournament

  1. Review All Matches

    • Ensure all matches are correctly scheduled and free of conflicts.

  2. Proceed to Checkout

    • Once satisfied, click “Checkout” to finalize the tournament.

Additional Notes

  • Pool Play Tournaments: If enabled, you can create a bracket from the edit screen after finalizing the tournament.
  • Elimination Tournaments: Matches are displayed in a bracket format. Editing options are limited to team assignments and locations.

Proceed to checkout once all matches have been reviewed and finalized.

Configure the tournament schedule, including start times, game durations, and dates.
